With the boldness of December approaching and the New Moon at 9° Sagittarius on the first of the month bringing the Sagittarius Sun and Moon into one fantastic union: Mutable placements (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) are in for quite a heavy weekend.
New Moon energy
New Moons are synonymous with new beginnings. They occur once every Lunation, when the Moon is at age 29 to 1.5 days (1% to < 5%) out of its 29.5 day cyclical span. This is a time to set new intentions and to plant the seeds for Manifestations to come by making sure that everything that no longer is of service is released, and that thoughts, emotions and actions are all aligned with our wishful vision board.
The Moon in fiery, open minded and expansive Sagittarius is usually fun… not this one.
Sagittarius’s planetary ruler is Jupiter and it has been in Retrograde since October 9, 2024 and will continue to be in it’s sign of detriment, Gemini, AND in Retrograde until February 4, 2025. This puts the ever striving Sagittarian energy into a scattered, distracted and superficial disposition. The lack of focus due to Jupiter Rx in Gemini’s opposition to the New Moon in Sagittarius at a pretty close orb of (8-4°) as the day advances, creates feelings of restraint, “unlucky” delays and being trapped in frustrations that impact our sense of emotional freedom. On top of this Jupiter forms a square to Saturn, now direct, in Pisces — creating the impression that our spiritual growth can only emerge through the lens of setbacks and that easy can’t just be easy. We struggle through the push and pull of knowing what our dream life looks like, yet being forced to mentally gaslight ourselves into the continuum of boredom before we are anywhere close to achieving that expanding sense of spiritual bliss and Divine-aligned peace of mind.

Malachite’s metaphysical properties
Commonly found near copper-ore rich lands, such as the Congo, Malachite is the oxidized evolution of Azurite (a potent Third Eye opening stone, associated with the philosophical attributes of Sagittarius).
