Jupiter’s exaltation in Cancer: emotional richness
The biggest lesson that I have learned this year is how to grow to discern the spaces deserving of me — the ones I truly belong in. To my own admission: this practice of discrimination threads the fine line between constructive criticism and detrimental judgment.
Jupiter in Cancer is about deepening your connection with the virtue or uphill battle of belonging.
Allowing yourself to plant and deepen your roots, such is belonging. As a social virtue, it means to blend well into a particular group of your hopeful choosing. This can easily be bypassed with people-pleasing, but how fulfilling is that? As a Cardinal sign, the domestic zodiac sign of Cancer has an active quality to it. Unlike the passive comfort of a Taurus, Cancers will come straight for the jugular of anything or anyone threatening what belongs to them — their true or metaphorical homes, within the hearts of their loved ones.
In that instance the aspiration of belonging becomes a battle: and it has been a long one for me. The entirety of what constitutes the self happens to be constricted in situations that don’t receive you well. This feels like an energy drain. The problem is however never really you, but the bad audience that mishandles your cup of self-expression. The solution isn’t to drown out the contents of the cup to avoid it spilling when shaken carelessly, and you shouldn’t expect everyone to accept you either. They may not be able to, so you must differentiate the ones who deserve to see you. Cut the rest out like weeds, albeit that may stir up some unwarranted hate. You need to be OK with that too. That is the price of authenticity.
Jupiter in Cancer will be teaching us this: magnify your home within and let your inner child rise into the secure and warm ideal of confidence. This will attract an abundance of connection around you, enriching your human experience on all fronts.
The contrast of a placement in its fall
Up until June 9, 2025 and since May 25, 2024, Jupiter has been in its sign of detriment (fall) Gemini. Circling back to belonging: Jupiter’s energy is challenged and does not proactively belong there in order for its destined qualities to thrive.
Jupiter in Gemini is scattered, mentally overloaded by tidbits of incomplete information; it’s a hut for gossip instead of a harbour for philosophical expansion. When Jupiter is there, its essence is discredited and reduced to the realm of overwhelm and procrastination.
On the other hand, in its exalted state (in Cancer), Jupiter has a safe home to rest its plentiful resources — such as those natives whom have that Natal Chart placement will largely succeed in stock acquisition or protection, insurance investments, business of property sales or more modernly as the aspiring cozy lifestyle influencer that gets paid to do more of what they love doing: sharing their home life online. By staying true to what’s written in your chart, you attract MORE of what nourishes you.

c. June 11, 2025: this Full Strawberry Moon “will undergo the Lunar standstill effect, due to its 18.6 year cycle, the Moon's path in the sky changes and it will be an ultra low Moon in the sky, the lowest until the year 2043!”
The Full Moon in Sagittarius and the quest for truth: opposition to Jupiter in Cancer
I say this wholeheartedly at the verge of negotiations with luxury apartment brokers, because I’ve radically accepted this materialistic part of me — un conflicted with my spiritually attuned self. Although some, and people close to me for that matter, feel offended and uneasy by my pursuits of owning lavish things, my internal taste for these types of comfort items won’t be swayed for them, to appease their troubled relationship to scarcity.
This Full Moon in Sagittarius calls for opinionated debates, the ones that confirm our beliefs and biases. With that being said, I may be perceived as lacking in the “humble department” and even as a pusher of consumerist and meritocratic ideals, burdens for some alike. With this lunation calling for a release, I’ve made my own closure with ending relationships that don’t support this side of me. I believe that opportunities are made and earned, and my Capricorn Moon is firm on these guiding values: achievement, productive status quo and merit. Owning up to this truth has definitely ruffled feathers around me, but everyone is responsible for their own feelings and I am not their babysitter. Astrology inspires this level of self-awareness, for that I am grateful.
The point of this year-long beneficial transit is to confront your limiting beliefs.
As the planetary ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter and the Moon rules over Cancer — the sign currently transited by Jupiter, this opposition between the two (perfecting on June 11, 2025) is a mirror held towards us individually revealing without a shadow of a doubt what is standing in the way of achieving true emotional fulfillment: the depth and greatness we all seek to feel purposefully loved each day.
The Opposition aspect is represented by conflicting forces (in astrology) and is marked by an 180 degree separation between the involved planets. This is commonly seen as a trigger point in the process of growth towards your goals (especially in regards to Jupiter), so if you are feeling extra resistance, shoot your shot anyways — that is the energy behind this Full Moon.
This is but a scratch on the surface when looking at transits, as a Professional Astrologer, I always do recommend basing your insights on the whole picture by considering the Houses affected by these planetary alignments → get a profound analysis of important aspects within your advanced Natal Chart as knowing more about yourself can help you understand One-Time Transits at play — and yes I have personalized readings for that too.
